Do I need a credit card to try?
No. The 14-day trial requires no payment method. You create your account, add your tenants, and decide afterwards.
Which countries does GomaRent work in?
In all fourteen CFA franc countries, with amounts shown in FCFA in both zones. West Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Togo. Central Africa: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Republic of the Congo, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Chad. For each tenant’s number you pick their country from a list: the reminder reaches the right number, wherever they live.
Can other landlords see my data?
Never. Every record is tied to your account, and that separation is enforced by the database itself, not just by the code. Another landlord technically cannot reach your rents.
How are reminders sent?
By email, automatically, on the dates you choose — this works today. On WhatsApp, a button opens the tenant’s conversation with the message already written: you just press send. Fully automatic WhatsApp sending comes with our WhatsApp Business account.
Can I record a Mobile Money payment?
Yes, as a payment method when recording, just like cash, transfer or cheque. Automatic collection via Wave, Orange Money or MTN will come later.
What happens after the 14 days?
You choose a plan to continue. Your data stays in place: nothing is deleted if you take time to think it over.
Can I issue receipts?
Yes. As soon as a rent is fully paid, the receipt is issued in one click, numbered and downloadable as PDF. An issued receipt never changes again, even if your details change.
What if I have more properties than my plan allows?
You move up whenever you want, from your account, in a few clicks. Nothing to re-enter: your properties and history stay put.
How do I install GomaRent on my phone?
GomaRent is an installable web app: no store needed. On Android (Chrome): open gomarent.com, tap the ⋮ menu at the top right, then “Install app” or “Add to Home screen”. On iPhone and iPad (Safari): open gomarent.com, tap the Share button, then “Add to Home Screen”. On desktop (Chrome or Edge): open gomarent.com, click the install icon in the address bar, then “Install”. The app then opens full screen like a real app, and you can check your rents even with no network.

Add a tenant
  1. Open “Tenants”, then “Add”.
  2. Enter their name and WhatsApp number, picking their country from the list.
  3. Give the property, the monthly rent and the due day.
  4. Save: the coming months’ due dates create themselves.
Record a payment
  1. Open “Rents” and find the line for the month.
  2. Tap “Record a payment”.
  3. Enter the amount received, the date, and the method: cash, Mobile Money, transfer or cheque.
  4. Confirm. Partial payments are accepted: the balance shows straight away.
  5. A button then offers to tell the tenant on WhatsApp.
Chase an unpaid rent
  1. Open “Reminders”.
  2. The “To chase now” list gathers the unpaid rents.
  3. The message is already written: it comes from your reminder rules, editable under “Reminders”.
  4. Tap the WhatsApp button: the chat opens, all that is left is to send.
Issue a receipt
  1. Fill in your landlord details once and for all under “Settings”.
  2. Wait until a rent is fully paid — a receipt cannot be issued on a partial payment.
  3. Open the tenant’s file, then “Generate the receipt”.
  4. Download the PDF, print it, or send it to the tenant on WhatsApp.
